CHROMA JIU-JITSU VOTED BEST MARTIAL ARTS OF EAST BOULDER
A huge thank you to everyone who voted us Best of East Boulder county 2024 for martial arts. We are honored that so many have deemed us worthy of their appreciation and recognition, and written us into their ballots. At Chroma we strive to make a welcoming martial arts community that reflects the values of its participants.
For those of you that aren’t familiar, Yellow Scene magazine painstakingly counts each write-in vote to ensure voters don’t just go through the motions when they choose who they want to nominate as “best”. That means a lot of our community took the time to put our name down and I can’t express how grateful I am!
It is amazing to me that in such a short period (we opened in April of 2023), Chroma has grown to host a full schedule of adult and kid Jiu-Jitsu classes, and even added other martial arts classes like Judo and Wrestling.
Also in less than a year’s time we have doubled our location size, due in large part to how popular our classes have been. We finished our remodel and expansion in March of 2024 which led to expanded mat space, an additional bathroom, and also allowed us to bring on a whole slew of coaches to help fill our growing schedule.
When laying out the business plan for our Jiu-Jitsu academy I had very small goals. I hoped we would have at least enough people to have a few classes two or three days a week and to build something successful over the course of a few years. Instead the opposite happened and we found ourselves swimming with like minded community members who understood what we were trying to accomplish and wanted to take part in it!
So when we won the Best of the West for East Boulder, I was naturally blown away but also pretty proud, not of myself but of the people who came together and helped make Chroma as great as it is and who believe in it with their whole hearts. Our motto at Chroma is “Show your true colors!” and I feel like we are doing that every time we step on the mats together.
