Cameron Cordova

Owner/Head Coach

Cameron Cordova is a Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu as well as an Ibjjf World’s Silver Medalist. He received his Rank in just 7 years of training from the legendary Renzo Gracie and John Danaher in New York City. Before this however, Cameron received his Blue Belt while training under Ibjjf World Champion Matthew Jubera and Ibjjf World’s Medalist Andrew Dudderar in Longmont, Colorado. In addition, his Purple Belt then came from the Saulo Ribeiro Black Belt, Todd Kornfield in Windsor, Colorado. Next came his brown belt, which was earned in the Las Vegas Academy of Robert Drysdale by Eduardo Mori alongside World Champion’s Renato Canuto and Drysdale himself.

It is safe to say that Cameron has competed, studied, and taught with some of the planet’s greatest legends of Jiu Jitsu. His travels have taken him all over the world from California to New York, as well as Thailand and Japan. He is a Multiple-time National Champion, an Ibjjf Pan-American Silver Medalist, and has never lost a competition match in his home state of Colorado (winning several title).

When asked; Cameron attributes his relatively fast progression through rank after rank to the “amazing teachers I’ve been lucky enough to learn from,” alongside an unshakeable certainty that “Jiu Jitsu gives us the power to face our fears and grow into who we truly are.”
“I love Jiu Jitsu because I love people, and jiu jitsu can’t exist without the people that give it life. If sharing a hug or handshake can connect us to a friend, imagine even more so the bond formed between our fighters, as they solve the troubles of life through a beautiful dance of mind, body, and soul. That is trust you can’t find without others… That is a bond that can only be earned.” And if you could see his eyes when he said it, you wouldn’t need more proof than that.

Cameron’s first academy is in Kaysville, Utah but his journey led him back to his roots in Colorado again. Currently in Brighton, he teaches Yoga and Dream Therapy at the Eagle View Adult Center, paints and hikes with friends, and spends the most of his time at Vibrant Jiu Jitsu. Time will tell what grows from these newly planted seeds.
